We are third, fourth and fifth graders from a public school in San Francisco's Tenderloin Neighborhood. This blog is a project of Robyn Carter's classroom (Room 2). It's a place to share our art and writing with other kids and teachers.

TREE BONES by Vanessa, age 8, Timothy, Nam & Wellington, age 9 & Alan, age 10
Night Sky Photo by Tiffanie Tudor. Big Talbot beach, Florida.
Tree Bones
The sky’s
night light
peeks over
the horizon.
Little
stars raid
the violet night.
Tree bones
Tree bones
rise
from the dirt.
Wind swishes
across your face.`
Pick up as
many branches
as you can and
bury them.
Check on them
tomorrow
and see if
they
are
still
there.

MASQUERADE By Jack, Nhi, Tony, Misu, Tran & Alan
Masquerade
By Jack, Nhi, Tony, Misu, Tran & Alan
Sheep-shaped
clouds
blossom
balloons
and
blanket
helicopters.
Sun rays
burn my shoulder.
The moon glows
in a San Francisco sky,
alone.
The city
drowns
the stars
in light.
